WINNIPESAUKEE HARMONY ON
THE LAKE MUSIC FESTIVAL
BARBERSHOP HARMONY
PARADE SHOW
What:
Saturday Night Barbershop Harmony Parade Show –
As part of the Lake Winnipesaukee Music Festival – “Harmony
on the Lake”. This show will feature barbershop choruses
and quartets from around New England and beyond.
Selections will include dozens of popular American Songs
sung a cappella in four-part harmony.
When:
Saturday August 16th. Curtain is
7:00 PM
Where:
Prospect Mountain High School, 242 Suncook
Valley Rd., Alton, NH. Turn right approximately 1 mile
south of the Alton traffic circle on Rt. 28.
Who: The
festival weekend is being coordinated in a joint partnership
by the Alton Centennial Rotary Club and The
Nashua, NH Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society.
Performers include: The 2008 Line-Up is
still under construction. Please check back frequently
to see the latest list of choruses and quartets who have
committed to perform in this year's shows.

The Granite Statesmen
Barbershop Chorus
Twelve time champions of
the Northeastern US and Eastern Canada (NED). This
dynamic, all-male ensemble recently competed in
the 2008 Barbershop Harmony Society's International Chorus
Championship and was ranked 23rd in the world. They will be
singing songs written by Irving Berlin.

Men
In Black
The
2005 International Collegiate Quartet Champions, Men in
Black, were formed in 2001. Originally students of the Hart
School of music, Tony Nasto, Oliver Merrill, Ray Johnson and
Karl Hudson have become much more than a college quartet.
They are also the 2006 Northeastern District Quartet
Champions and finished 11th at the BHS 2008 International
Quartet Contest.

Boston
Accent
The
2006 Harmony Inc. International Quartet Champions,
Boston Accent is a very
entertaining quartet who will be appearing for the first
time in our show. Based in the North Shore of Massachusetts,
members of Boston Accent include Julie Jeffrey
(baritone); Cheryl Brusket (lead), Ruth Berman (tenor) and
Karen Rourke (bass).

Northeast
Connection
The
1996 Northeastern District Quartet Champions, Northeast
Connection represented the Northeastern District at the BHS
International Chorus Contest five times from 1999 - 2005.
Quartet members are: Matt Mercier (Tenor); Ralph St. George
(Lead); Rob Lynds (Bass) and Dan Washington (Baritone).

Why:
To celebrate the traditional American musical
art form known as Barbershop harmony. Proceeds will benefit
a scholarship fund managed by the Alton Centennial Rotary
Club and music education programs provided by the Nashua, NH
Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society.
How:
Tickets for the Friday and Saturday night shows are available at the new Profile Bank building on
Main St. (Rt. 11) in Alton. They can also be ordered online
by completing the
Ticket Order Form.
Admission for the show is $20.00 for adults and $5.00 for
youths under 12. Cruise tickets are $10.00
for adults. Many other festival events are free. Visit the
