Ladies & Gentlemen,

The planning of our 54th Annual barbershop harmony festival is well underway.   We have preserved most of the popular traditions for singers and audience members and have added a few new features for 2008.  Attendees will enjoy all of the fun and camaraderie the festival is known for while congregating at the town docks Friday and Saturday during the day.  There will be lots of impromptu singing and time to visit with old friends and new.  Scenic boat tours of Alton Bay aboard the Winnipesaukee Belle are unavailable this year, but are expected to return next year.

Friday activities include a morning charity golf tournament at the Kingswood Golf Club in Wolfeboro and a fun-filled evening show with a 50's/doo-wop theme.  A new outdoor afterglow and bonfire will follow the show.

Saturday evening includes an all-you-can-eat Yankee Pot Roast Dinner with a Silent Auction and the amazing Barbershop Harmony Feature Show which attracts dozens of the best quartets and choruses from New England and beyond.  It is a a cappella variety show unlike any other.  After the performance, another spectacular outdoor afterglow/cast party is in the works.  Be assured that there is plenty of space available at all festival activities, so come join in the fun.  Contingencies are in place if the weather does not cooperate and we will continue rain or shine.

Tickets for all events can be ordered online.  They can also be purchased at the Community House on Alton Bay from noon to 6:30 PM Friday and 9 AM to 5 PM on Saturday, or by visiting Profile Bank on Main St in Alton.

Friday and Saturday night show tickets are also available at the door.  Curtain is 8:00 PM on Friday and 7:00 PM on Saturday.  The doors will open 45 minutes prior to the start.  If you already have made a reservation your tickets will be available at the Community House as stated above and at the Prospect Mountain High School after 6 PM either night.

If you have questions about any aspect of the festival or wish to learn more about how to book your quartet or chorus on our shows, please contact the Festival Chairman by emailing Roger Menard at rogmenard@aol.com or calling 603-759-2879.
